Day 75

Pay day Friday. My favorite Friday of each month. Today the program we use to do all our major work was down for maintenance...you would think being that there's absolutely nothing to be done in the office if this system isn't working that they would give us a free day off. Nope. We all had to be at work wasting the day away. Luckily, I hadn't taken my email retention certification yet (it's an online class/test that takes about 30 minutes to get through) so I had something to occupy my time for a little while. Then I spent a great deal of time picking things up off of the floor because we are having carpet cleaners come in and do a deep cleaning on our carpets this weekend. I think I overheard someone say that hasn't been done in this building since the Regan administration...I'd believe it! The smell that hits your nose upon walking through the doors of this building is atrocious. I've noticed that I sniffle and sneeze more when I'm at work than I do anywhere else, I'm almost positive the walls here are filled with mildew mold and dead roach bodies.

Moving on, when the day was FINALLY over I had a few errands to run so, I got dog food and then I went by Office Max behind Triangle Towne Center. I was supposed to buy a refillable black ink cartridge but the guy told me that they could actually refill the one we have. OOH HOO! Save me some more money! So I decided to wait until tomorrow and take the one we've got at the house. I did, however, walk two stores down to the Ross. I was looking for something specific but didn't find it (and sadly now I don't remember what it was) but I did find a papertowl holder, a picture frame, and a birthday gift for a friend. I had to fight the strong urge I had to buy several adorable pairs of shoes, but I managed to leave the store with only the three purchases. I went home afterwards feeling pretty good about my little shopping trip.

After I got home I decided to spend some time playing with my dogs and feed them since I'd given them the last of their food yesterday and they seemed a bit hungry. Speaking of which I was starving so I decided to wash up and head over to Taco Bell. YUM! I got home ate my dinner, watched an episode and a half of Alias. Now I think I'm going to go upstairs, read some more of my book and wait on my sweety to call me :-) Happy Friday All!
