Day 71

Ahhh back to the grind of things. I'd forgotten how hard it is to wake up after this stinking time change. When I get up at 6:30 in the AM the sky is still an inky black color which tells every last one of my senses that it is not time to get up, when indeed my alarm clock begs to differ. Even though I was in bed and passed out by at least 10 (I know I started falling asleep with my book at about 10 till) it was still quite the struggle to climb out of the bed and get the day rolling.

Work was incredibly slow. I had an underwhelming amount of papers to deal with today. I had about 50 Purchase Orders to enter and I think I scanned three individual sheets of paper all day. I spent a good deal of the day looking at houses online and dreaming. There's this island off of Wrightsville Beach called Figure Eight Island...it's a private island that you can only gain access to if you live in one of the very few million dollar homes that have been built there. I decided I wanted to see just how the other half gets to live and it's not too shabby! I looked at several 2 and 3 million dollar houses...they are spectacular! What I wouldn't give to be a billionaire so that I could live in the lap of luxury that these people seem to enjoy so. Ah, well, I then did a search within my measly price range and found at least one new house that I hadn't seen before, it's not so bad looking but I'm wary of it because the yard looks big in the picture but after last weekend I've decided I can't trust pictures. And as nice as this house looks the chances of it still being around when I finally am able to head back to Wilmington to take a look, are slim to none.

After work I worked out at home, then cooked some dinner to share with the roomie and we sat down and watched an episode of Alias. I've never seen the show before and it seems pretty good but I caught an episode in the middle so now I feel lost and want to borrow the entire season from Jordan and watch it. Afterwards, it was put the doggies to bed, hit the showers and talk to the boyfriend. We're both really tired after our thoroughly exhausting weekend and so we only talked for about 45 minutes maybe and then decided that was enough for the night. And now I'm going to snuggle up around my book that I've nearly finished and try not to fall asleep before I've finished at least one chapter.
