Day 73
Oh man, it's so great when all the rest of the office has to go in to a staff meeting or a webinar and I have to stay up front to catch the phones and people when they walk in. I love it! It's so fantastic because I can sit up at the front and get done what I need to get done. I needed a few minutes to call my landlord and tell him how our kitchen light fixture decided to come crashing down to the kitchen floor early the other morning. Then I needed to call and make a Dr's appointment and I looked up some college stuff for myself. I know it's silly and I could probably do all that stuff while everyone else is sitting up here but it's just so awkward. And I managed to get more work done because the phones didn't ring that much and people weren't constantly coming up front interrupting. It's so peaceful LOL.
After work I went by my friend Spencer's house. Not too long ago I gave Spencer two of my dogs so they could chase off the fox that was eating their chickens. They're so much happier for it too! Spencer lives at his parents house and they have a huge back yard where those two can run and romp and play. They've lost weight and seem to be having way more fun now. Spencer and Mary take them on walks and to play at the park. It was nice getting to see them and play with them again. I hope to have a big fenced yard soon so that my three babies will have a bigger area to run and play in themselves.
After I got home, ate dinner, showered and got ready for bed I called Nathan to talk to him for a while. We talked about college plans. Nathan still has his heart set on coming here and going to UNC-Chapel Hill. So, we talked about what I should do, do I stay here and we try to work through being in a long distance relationship for another year or do I go ahead and move just to have to turn around and come back. Nate said if I get offered the job at the aquarium that I should take it and move to Wilmington and then figure out the rest as we go. If I don't hear anything about the job then I should just stay put and we can work through the long distance relationship until he gets into UNC. He's really stressed out about school right now too so I try not to be too pushy about future stuff. I've decided I'm going to adopt a zen attitude about us. I'm done pushing future stuff and trying to change things now, I want to just enjoy the relationship we have and the time we have together and have a blast. The more I push about future stuff with a guy that's recently divorced the more he pulls away. So we're just going to take it easy and have fun. I just feel like this is how things should be.
