Day 106
After work I went home, changed, grabbed Nathan's care package and drove on over to FedEx. I personally prefer shipping everything FedEx over any other options because they tend to be a little nicer to your packages and they usually get there pretty quick. When I arrived the guy was loading up the truck to leave and so I figured okay well this wont leave until tomorrow so that's cool he should get it on Saturday then. I walk in and there's this lady with a kid that's throwing a fit because she's told him she will not buy him Flipz from the shipping store and apparently she was having trouble with something to do with her package. So they were in there for a while. I figured I would be too...I grabbed a shipping label and filled it out while listening to the dulcet tones of an angry child screaming and crying. When I was done the dude asked me where my package was going and if it was air or ground. Then he grabbed my box and packaged it up for me quickly (it's amazing how much faster they put together boxes than I do!) and then stuck my shipping label on it, weighed it and told me it would be $9 and change. WOW! Cheaper than I thought. And the guy from the truck came back in to grab any last packages and while he waited on the lady with the angry kid by her side to hurry up with her crap I asked him if he would be taking my package too, well if it's ground then yes, okay! When do you think it will get to Wilmington? Oh probably by tomorrow. SWEET! I love it when I have perfect timing. They printed my receipt complete with tracking number and I got the heck out of there while little boy blue started screaming his head off.
Since the shipping cost me way less than I expected I decided to run next door to Panera and buy myself a yummy dinner! MMMM! I got the Frontega Chicken, not nearly as yummy as it sounded on the menu. So, I headed home, watched a little tv while eating. Then watched a few episodes of Season 6 of Gilmore Girls with Jordan while going through my patterns.
I had called my dad before coming downstairs, he had told me a while ago he had a desk somewhere in his storage building that I could use for my sewing machine. I needed to know a couple of things, 1-can I please borrow the lawn mower this weekend, as I am fairly certain my neighbors hate us because our yard looks like it's going to take over the whole neighborhood. 2- can I please pick up the mirror stand you told me I could have and 3-can we look for that desk and while we're at it see if you have any book cases I could have too! So it looks like this weekend will be a little bit of furniture moving and probably some re-decorating of the spare room. And then hopefully I can get started on making a new purse :-) I'm kinda pumped about it.
