Day 101

This morning I got up and let the dogs out and got dressed to head over to Amy's for our Pink Ladies trash pickup. As Jordan and I were getting directions and preparing to leave I saw a van pull up and park across the street from our house and about four adults get out and I just knew it would be mere minutes before they were ringing our doorbell. I went and told Jordan and she said that I should go answer the door since she was putting her eyeballs in. The bell rang and I dragged my feet, sometimes I just hate talking to these people. I opened the door and they handed me a pamphlet called The WatchTower...oh joy... and began to tell me they were just in the neighborhood (waking up people that would normally be asleep at this early hour of 9am) sharing the message of the ultimate hero, Jesus Christ. I was about two seconds from saying Oh, "well I have a message I'd just love to share with you! Hang on just a sec let me go get a book for you to read" but right as I was about to say something Jordan walked up and threw me off my stride so I didn't say anything I just told them well thank you and have a lovely day. And I told Jordan about my plan to give them a Book of Mormon but we don't exactly have any, I'll have to remedy that problem soon, and she said WAIT! and ran to her room and grabbed a big 'ol stack of pass along cards! LOL It would have been so brilliant, so from now on we're going to leave our pass along cards on the table by the door, so that the next time we have visitors we'll only take their magazine if they take our card. ;-)

Anyway, we left and went to the trash pick up and had an entertaining time picking up garbage along the roadside. We found some super old Pepsi Cola cans in a pile of rubble at the end of our trek and I collected all of them for the recycling (if they hadn't been all kinds of rusted through I might have kept one). After we got back to Amy's house we had Kabobs and all kinds of super yummy food and I swear I stuffed myself till I was utterly uncomfortable...but it was sooo worth it!

Afterwards I went home and changed before doing a bit of shopping. It ended up being a shop till I dropped kind of day today! UGH! Don't get me wrong I love to shop but when your eyes start burning and you get a headache pounding right behind your burning eyes, it's time to call it a day. So, after going to two Targets, two Ross stores, and a Khols, it was time to go home, eat something, and pass out. However, I got home and pranced around in my new outfits for a bit, and maybe actually suffered a bit of buyers remorse. There are at least two items that I'm pretty sure I want to take back...one swim suit top and one dress. I know it's not going to make up for all the money I spent but at the same time it's better than nothing!

Okay well I'm literally pooped and it's time to crawl into my bed and not come out till way late tomorrow afternoon.
