Day 57

What a DAY! This morning Nathan went out to get my Birthday present from his car but it wasn't there. Not the present but the whole car. Enter mild panic attack. We called the Sherrif's office to report it stolen and they came out to file a report and the guy checked and said that it had been towed. So we called the towing company, well they said that Highway Patrol called them to tow it. Okay but WHY? WHY in the WORLD is a car being towed from in front of my house in a neighborhood?? Anyone? Anyone?? So we called Highway Patrol to ask them what was up and they said a neighbor called and said it was blocking the street. Okay so my boyfriend has been parking his car in front of my house for the last six months that he's been coming to visit me...this is nothing new. Why all of a sudden at 6am was this a problem for someone?? And then why couldn't they knock on my door and ask us to move it if it was a problem? People are assholes, that is my only conclusion. I don't think it was a neighbor but I'm done speculating on who it could be. Either way, we asked for the person's name and they claimed it was an anonymous call...yet again...why would you tow a car based on an anonymous call????? WTF is wrong with these people? So we end up having to drive down to the place it was towed, pay $85 to get it back and head back home. Fabulous. At least it wasn't stolen and my pretty present was still inside.

When we got home my adorable and loving boyfriend handed over a box on which he had drawn with markers little pictures all over the top of the box of things that I love...mountains, my dogs, a heart, and a bunch of other cute little things. He's so sweet. I opened it very carefully so I could keep that part of the paper and inside was a cd player. I am so excited about this cd player! It's one of the stand up kind where the CD lid slides up and it's all shiny and silver and you can see the CD spinning around inside it. It's got great speakers and you can hook an Ipod or MP3 player up to it. It's so fantastic.

After all the drama was over we went and grabbed some late lunch and then headed over to my parents house to set up for my fabulous Murder Mystery Party. Everyone came that was invited...I was so thrilled because it's the first party I've ever thrown where every single person that was invited showed up. And it turned out to be a hit...at least from what I could tell, and if you were there and felt otherwise, don't tell me because I really would rather continue believing that it was a fabulous party. :-P Afterwards Nathan and I stayed to clean up and it took FOREVER! Overall it turned out to be a really great day.
