Day 53
After work I rushed through my workout and shower so that Jordan and I could get some more visiting teaching in. I hate having to rush my workouts...I'll have to wait until after VT tomorrow night because we're scheduled at 7 and I have to swing by the store and grab dog food on my way home which adds about another 20 minutes to the already 30 minute drive (only because of the traffic on Wake Forest Road though).
Anyway, so it seems that I will probably be moving to Wilmington by myself now. I'm a bit saddened by this possability because the person I was hoping for as a roommate would have made it all a lot more fun, but I understand that we all take different directions through life. Because of this I've now been lessening the price range on the houses I'm looking to rent, not so easy. The decent ones don't go much cheaper than $600 which on my current salary is NOT feasable but it is if I get the Aquarium job I applied for. (pray that I get a call back there!) I've found a few that I love even though there are a few things I can see already that I don't like so much about them... my favorites?
http://wilmington.craigslist.org/apa/1612417501.html (not exactly in my price range but hey I'm still dreaming a little here)
http://wilmington.craigslist.org/apa/1603264623.html (and yes I'm aware it looks like a barn but it's charming and fun and unique so I kinda love it)
http://www.wilmingtonrent.com/nc/wilmington/41496-home-off-gordon-rd (this one is posted in two places, craigslist has it at $875 but this site has it at $695...hmmmmm....I hope it's the latter) ...ETA: well apparently it was too good to be true because it's been taken down...BOOO!
Oh well...there's not a lot I can afford but I still haven't been offered a job so maybe by the time that happens I'll get lucky and there will be a huge influx of cheap houses going on the market. *Sigh* In other news, my Birthday is coming!!! I'm so stoked the party is going to be fun fun fun and my actual birthday is going to be the best. I'm taking the day off of work and having a me day. My friend Steph sent me a gift card to Massage Envy and I fully intend to use that, and I may even go and get a manicure just for the fun of it. And I'm definitely going to sleep in!! So, three more days to go! WOOO!

It's not a definite no.... let me figure some things out first. It still sounds like a good idea.
YAY for your birthday!!
PS - the one on Ann St (downtown area) looks nice. As does the one off Gordon Road.
Good job hunting! Now you need to go look at them all.
Have you tried calling the aquarium to ask them about the job posting and maybe requesting an interview. Trust me it makes a huge difference when you call and make yourself known over the phone.
Nope, because the aquarium job is a State job with the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources. You can call the State all you want about a job but they'll tell you the same thing every time: we can't tell you anything. Sad but true. They just do things in their own way on their own time frame.
