Day 35

I have a truly amazing roommate.

After my night of sobbing on the phone with Nathan, I got up this morning to find a message scrawled on my bathroom mirror...

a homemade card on my sink...

a CD of uplifting music to borrow and listen to in my car, which when I went to warm it up was covered in hearts on the inside with loving inspirational messages all over them, and a note telling me that I am a good person and that even though I don't love everybody I am kind to everyone. And that I shouldn't let anyone put me down and that nobody puts Ariel in a corner. I really needed that this morning to be able to survive the day. It was very hard to make myself get out of my bed and get dressed and leave.

I think that it's amazing how the people that really are your friends and truly love you, will know exactly what you need to help brighten your day. Even the smallest little note on the fridge saying that you are special or you're loved really helps someone feel like they can concur the horrors that await them outside the door. It is through small and simple acts of kindness that you can really help someone know their worth. I wouldn't have made it this far in my life if it weren't for the amazing people that are constantly reminding me that I'm loved.
