5:30 AM
Yesterday I was fully intent on getting up at 5:30am. But Sunday night the power went out and it got HOT...so I was up late and feeling like crap and the AC is out at work so I called in, slept in and so did not wake up early. I decided last night that this had to be remedied. I HAVE to get up because I MUST start working out every single day before work because after work just isn't an option anymore.
At 5:30 my newly purchased ring tone began to sound...
Wake The Sun - by the Matches
*take a listen* What I hear is the beginning of the Chorus.
And I've learned a nifty trick with my newly acquired phone...if I just turn it over it snoozes my alarm. So, over it went. And I had set my alarm to sound every 2 minutes...so over and over and over my poor phone rolled till I decided I absolutely MUST get up. And then I did. So proud of myself! It only took 8 extra minutes! That's a mere 4 snoozes.
I got up, dressed for my workout and went down stairs. So, Tuesday is technically my rest day but since I'm trying to start the habit of getting up early every day I supplemented some aerobics for rest today. I'm still very sore from my weekend and from yesterday's workout so I took it slow instead of at full speed but it felt pretty good. Then I cooked myself breakfast...mmm goat cheese and tomato Omelet... and ate it at the kitchen table. Then showered and was dressed and ready to leave for work on time! What a morning! I just hope I can keep it up the rest of the 90 days the workout is scheduled for. :-)

I have NEVER, ever, ever been a morning person. I have recently discovered that I love getting up early while the house is still quiet and getting as much done as I can while it's still just me. I have no idea why this is happening! Kudos on getting up at 5:30! The best I manage is 6:00, but that also includes the weekends...
