Day 1 — Your Best Friend Day
This one is difficult for me because I have more than just one best friend...so this note will be kind of a general to several very close friends in my life.
Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for being in my life. I am so thankful for you in so many ways. You've been there to laugh and smile with me to enjoy all the wonderful things in life and all the wild and crazy things we think up to entertain ourselves. But as the test of a true friend goes, you have also been there on all the awful downspirals my life has taken. You've held my hand while I cried over a boy, supported me in every stupid decision I've made and never once said I told you so when they failed. You've been a shining star in my life, a wonderful example to me and I thank God every day for your presence in my life. My biggest disappointment is that I feel I am not as good a friend to you as you have always been for me. It feels as though, no matter how hard I try, I can never adequately be there for you as you have been there for me but I will continue to try. The greatest thing about best friends is their ability to love you and never judge you no matter how many stupid things you do or how many times you commit these crimes of stupidity. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for your friendship and love, for always being the best friend you know how to be and for always loving me and allowing me to be a part of your life. You are wonderful and I am so thankful to count you among not only my friends but my family.
