Dieter's Update: Week 2

Ahh, we have no arrived at my second Saturday after starting this diet. Here's what you've all been dying to know. Yes I'm still craving food, yes I'm still being faithful to my diet, and yes I've lost a decent amount of weight so far.
Today I weighed in at 154.2
I've had a few days when I've been angry at the scale, I even kicked it the other day, because my weight loss was 0. I was pretty frustrated by that but the next day it went down again so I got over it. I didn't note my lbs lost in the last post...but it was 8.2, in about 8 days so it equaled out to about a pound per day (even though some days were greater and some days were less)

My total loss is: 11.8lbs
Measurements are as follows
Waist: 37 that's a whole inch down from 38
Hips: Holding strong at 42
Bust: another 1/2" down to 38 from 40
Left Thigh: 20.75
Right Thigh: 20.5
Left Arm: 12.5 I'm thinking weight lifting = bigger arms instead of loss there...
Right Arm: 11.75 hrm...could be from the lifting weights but it seems to have gone back up too

Okay so some numbers went back up and some numbers went way down. The ones I'm most looking forward to dropping are the ones that went down anyway so I'm pleased with that. The only one I want to see loss in that seems to have gone back up is my thighs... my booty and my arms aren't much of a big deal there but again I'm still working out so I imagine some of that might be muscle and then over time it will lean out a bit. Who knows.

I must say that regardless of how badly I've been craving other foods this test of my willpower is going very well. I would normally have given up by now but I've been seeing such great results that it gives me the power to keep on truckin. It's frustrating because I keep getting invited to events where they're serving food and when people ask why I'm not eating anything I have to explain that I'm on a very strict diet. Up until Friday I'd been doing super great about saying no to requests that I attend things but a friend wanted me to go with her so she'd know someone and then today I had Em's Bridal Shower "Tea Party" (which was lovely!) and I couldn't eat any of the adorable food there. But I made the best of both activities and had fun regardless of how badly I wanted a lemon poppy seed scone! :-) I can't wait to see what week 3 brings.
