VLCD

VLCD= Very Low Calorie Diet. I finished my two loading days and let me just tell you I'm happy it's over. I was told that it sounds fun (and it sure did!) but you will feel so sick if you do it right. And boy did I do it right! I bought up all kinds of goodies to chow down on and ate myself sick...almost literally. I went to bed so full I had no idea how I was going to sleep, and I didn't *ugh* I kept waking up with bile in my throat. Such a crappy experience. I think the purpose of this loading thing is two fold, 1-it rounds out your fat cells so when you start the VLCD you don't feel sick, tired, and headachy. 2- you eat yourself sick of all the foods you love so that when you can't have them, in my case for the next 40 some odd days, you don't miss them as much as you would if you hadn't just made yourself nauseated.

I'm doing pretty good so far, today is my first Low Calorie day. I have some homemade chili for lunch using a recipe from a pdf cookbook my friend provided me with. I also prepared my lunches and dinners for the rest of the week last night and am super excited about getting to see results. The only thing I'm really sad about right now is that Jordan only did a week before quitting. I was really looking forward to having somebody to chug along with at this, especially in the same house so that I didn't have to worry about food that I'm not allowed to eat tempting me LOL. Ah well, I'm pretty confident that I'll manage on my own. Here goes!
