A "Weighted" Question?

DANG IT! Do any of you other ladies know how hard it is to purchase a set of weights made in increments for women?? Good grief. I want to buy weights that go from 5 lbs to maybe 20 lbs but I need it to be like 8,10,12,15 etc. I finally found some that might do...I don't love the way they look but that's just whatever. They're PowerBlock weights, similar in theory to the Bowflex Select Tech weights but not as sleek, they're so blocky...duh. But these go from 3-24 in odd increments. I think I can deal with that. The price is more than I'd like to spend but at the same time it's cheaper than buying individual dumbbells or trying to get the Bowflex ones.

All the websites I've looked at that sell dumbbells in a grouping have frustrated me to the point of no return. It wouldn't be so bad if I could find something that had smaller increments, but they all go 5,10,15,20,25, etc.
I am a girl. Soft and squishy and weak...not that I'm saying girls in general are weak, but I am. Pitifully so. And when I'm looking for weights to workout with, I am not looking for gigantic weights in big fat increments...I want small delicate girly weights in small delicate girly increments. That way I can work up to the bigger ones, not the big beefy fat boy kind necessarily but bigger.
I'm on my second week of my ChaLEAN Extreme workout and it's going so well...I can feel how well it's going. LOL! Not that I can feel any weight loss in particular but my muscles are non-stop sore...to me that's brilliant! Most of the workouts I've blown through I stay sore for the first week and then by the end of that first weekend, I'm all better and feel no soreness again through the program. Here I am on the third day of my second week and OUCH! I'm still hurting. I think it's because of all the switching it up she does. Moving from one muscle group to the next and lifting heavier weights once you've managed to do easily on lighter ones, it keeps your body guessing and I LOVE IT! I'm going to weigh myself again this week and see if there's any loss and then I'll do measurements and see where I am, just for my own benefit of course. I'd give you my stats but all I can remember is my starting weight was 176. Perhaps I'll do a post with further information tomorrow. :-) But I'm happy with the workout overall and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging workout.
ps- my 4 year old niece took that picture! I'm training her so well! hehe.

Just remember Ariel, that muscle weighs more than fat... so you may not see an actual weight drop, so start measuring weight loss by inches, not pounds.
