Day 122

Oh man, I would have stayed in bed until 5pm today had I not had a wedding to attend at 2. Nathan called at 1:30 and we stayed on the phone until 3:30 but it was so worth it since we haven't gotten to really talk all week. I loved every second of it.

Around 3:00 the dogs started barking and going crazy. I found this odd because I'd made the decision to leave them outside all night because the whole time Jordan and I were on the computer I didn't hear a peep out of them. When Nate and I got off the phone I went down to check and see why they were going berserk, I heard something that sounded like a small mammal traipsing around in the woods so I figured that's what it was and put the dogs in their beds. When I got up at 10am to clean up poo before letting them out I saw something furry and lumpy laying on the ground further inside the dog pen...there were two of them! As I got closer with the shovel, I saw that it was two baby opossums. Well, that explains the berserk-o barking at 3am. The little guys must have been sneaking in at night to eat the dog food out of the bowls and last night they must not have realized the dogs were still in there and...well...you get the picture. I scooped 'em up and chucked 'em into the woods (and man I tell ya baby Opossums can fly when tossed) and then let the pups out...making a firm resolve to put all the dog food away at night instead of just leaving it out.

I got showered and dressed and headed over to Emily's house. She was my date for the wedding. My friend and ex-boyfriend of a week during my Freshman year of High School, Stephen, got married at the Grand Marquise Ballroom in Garner. It was very different than most weddings I've been to. They had the ceremony in the ballroom with everyone seated at dinner tables. Then afterwards they shooed all the guests into the foyer with cheese, crackers and fruit for about 45 minutes while they took family pictures and set up the rest of the food. I wasn't really happy about having to stand around in heels for that long, my feet really started to hurt. But we finally got to sit and they had the reception. It was fun getting to see people I knew from high school...well the few that were actually in attendance. My sister's friend Star and her husband were both there, my friend Nikki Glaspie from band, and of course the groom. It was a beautiful ceremony and a lot of fun hanging out and chatting with everyone.

After, Em and I went to Ross to find a dress for her to wear in the Bahama's to a fancy work dinner they're having. We found exactly one really hot dress. It was fun though. I then headed home, it's time to do a little relaxing.
