Day 121
Well today was as dull as usual. However, I did come out of work with some good news to report! I know small miracles, right? So, the job that I've been covering for the last two years finally got posted last month and, of course, I applied. I also applied for a job replacing one of the Assistants that just retired, same office. Either one will land me pretty much the same pay, which sucks. Apparently DOT only offers you 10% increase no matter how many paygrades you go up or how much more experience you have (*cough cough* considering I'm already doing the one job and have nearly all the pertinent experience). Anyway, well today my supervisor asked me which day was best for interviews... Tuesday or Wednesday. I said well let's do the earlier so I can go ahead and get it over with. So Tuesday at 8:30 I'm interviewing for one of the jobs and at 9:00 I will be interviewing for the other job. Very nice.
Anyway, when I got home I checked the birds. I was going to try and snag a picture of momma birdy but she heard me open the storm door and flew off, with a worm in her mouth. So, I snapped another shot of the babies. Baby birds must grow SUPER fast! Because just yesterday they looked like this:
*sorry no picture yet...I know LAME!*
And today we've got this!
*even lamer! No comparison*
I mean they've already got all kinds of feathers on them now, and the last egg already hatched within the last 24 hours. It's craziness! And their eyes are so big and grey looking, they're so ugly but yet so freaking cute. One of them has a feathery MoHawk...it's insaine.
Jordan wanted to go out to a movie when she got home, so we started looking up what movies were playing in theaters only to start looking at Trailers for future movies this summer. We ended up staying in front of the computer watching movie Trailers and updating the Netflix list until about five minutes ago...whew! Sad that we missed out on going to a movie but we had fun not spending any money too.
Sorry about the bird pictures but the home computer is really stupid and wont let me upload them...so I'll try and get them up soooon! Check back Tuesday!
