Litter Bugs Beware!

For the first time in oh about 9 years or so, I picked up trash alongside the road today. As a youth in the church we used to do a trash pick-up about twice a year and I always loved it. You find the coolest things just laying around out there. Today Jordan and I joined with a few other ladies in a group called The Pink Ladies, and cleaned up one side of a road in Wendell. We would have done both sides of the road if we'd gotten started when we were supposed to but a few late comers cut our time in half. A few of our interesting finds? A Nissan hubcap, a giant stuffed dog, a purple fuzzy dice, two unused and somewhat liquified condoms, a plastic bucket, a dead field rat, a live black snake, and various beer cans and bottles.

After the garbage collection we went back to Amy's house and had a kabob cookout. It was delish! Overall it was a really great day, not quite as productive as I'd expected from my trash pick-up days of old but still oh so fun...and I got to wear a neon yellow reflective vest so that pretty much made my day!
