Jammin!

I am so proud of myself. :-) So naturally I must share.

My friend Emily and I have been working out for a full 4 weeks now. Every Tuesday and Thursday we get together and rock out to Turbo Jam. On Monday's and Wednesdays I try to workout on my own, which is nowhere near as easy as it is when you've got someone else to motivate you, and then on weekends I try to go out and do something physical to sub in as a workout...went hiking in Umstead one weekend, dancing, or doing one of the dvd workouts.

As far as I can tell I haven't lost very much weight. However, my ex and I met up for dinner one night to say goodbye before he hitches up his wagon and heads to Kentucky and he told me that he could tell I'd lost some weight and I look dang good. LOVE IT! That just made my evening. Em and I can't really tell because well, we see each other all the time, so it was really nice to see someone I hadn't seen in about a month and have them tell me they could see a difference.

It's not been an easy four weeks either. Mondays and Wednesdays are my hardest to get through because I don't have the motivation from Em moving me along. I was doing the Billy Blanks Tae Bo Bootcamp workout on those days but I just can't get into it. He's so serious and boring...which is fine for a bootcamp instructor but from a workout instructor I need some perk. So, I was really excited when Em invited me over to do Turbo Jam with her one day, I loved it! Heck I went on Amazon and ordered my own copy of it. Chalene Johnson is the instructor and she's so engaging. That lady is hilarious and it really makes the workout amazingly awesome and easier to get through. So today I went on beachbody.com (that's the company that produces these workouts) and ordered the next edition of the Turbo Jam workout...Fat Burning Elite. I can't wait for it to come in the mail so that we'll have 5 more workouts to toss into our rotation. Doing the same two each day not only gets old but I think my body is really getting used to it already...so it's definitley time to spice up the routine.

LOL I just realized this sounds a bit like an infomercial...but I'm okay with that. I've used a lot of these dvd workouts and really this one definitley motivates me more. I'll have to keep you posted on my loss. Right now I'm not keeping track of the actual weight just inches. Sunday is measuring day so we'll see if there's any difference at all come Sunday. I'm so freaking stoked about this. :-)
