Ideal Driving Conditions

I know everyone is still waiting on the obligatory Thanksgiving post...it'll get here I swear but I want to upload my pictures first and I'm slow as molasses when it comes to uploading.
In the meantime...
I have discovered that the best time of year to drive to work is when there is a holiday. This might seem a bit odd because usually driving during holidays is ridiculous...but that's only if you're going somewhere other than work. I found it only took me 15 minutes to get to work on Wednesday (partially due to my penchant for speeding). As I was cruising my usual strip of road into downtown Raleigh I realized there were far fewer cars, thus far less idiot drivers. Tuesday was a good driving day as well because lots of people left for their holiday early.
Not only are the roads clear of the usual working stiff but schools are out and all the nonsense that I encounter every time I have to drive by a school is just a fond memory. It's like Christmas time every time there is a holiday where the mass populous either stays home or jumps on the Interstate to get out of town.
So while the rest of you are suffering in holiday traffic on the highways and bi-ways on your way to that somewhere special for the holidays... I will be cruising along with a smile on my face and a little something extra in my step all because the roads to work are clear and free from (most) of those moronic drivers.

Interesting... since most people dread going to work anywhere around the holidays.
But good to know you'll be alright - as will other drivers on the road. :-)
