Couple of Things
If you live in the Raleigh area and enjoy eating in Cameron Village you may not want to continue reading this and skip to the next section....
Okay so, I went to eat with my sister today at the Village Draft house across the street from where I work. I've eaten there a few times before and I like the food but their service could really use some work. Twice I've been there and the server is some ditzy college chick that doesn't understand the concept of customer service. I've worked in the food industry...you have to work for your tips...ignoring me is not going to get you any of my hard earned money. So we got our food and I plowed through my California Burger...anything with avocados is so tasty I can't help it! So then I was sitting there talking to Brenna and picking through my onion rings and there was this black bubble in one so I just figured it was burnt and picked it apart.... when I looked at it closer I realized it had legs and a head...it was a fly! Baked into the batter of my onion rings. So then I had to wait five minutes for the waitress to show up so I could explain it to her and I was trying to be quiet about it ... which many of you know is a struggle for me because I'm just loud...and she shouts "OH MY GOD! Girl I am so sorry!" Yeah let's broadcast it please. Anyway so she comped my meal and Brenna didn't want anymore of her food. Needless to say the service and buggy surprise will keep me from eating there anymore. UGH! There's just something about Cameron Village's restaurants. Brenna and I went to the Village Deli for my Birthday lunch back in Feb and I got this sandwich that looked like it had been dropped in the floor and then put on the plate. It had those little fuzzy things on the bread... soo yeah no more food in Cameron Village for me.
Okay if you wanted to skip the last part start here:
The other thing is guys and their affinity for violence. Don't misunderstand, I love a manly man...I just don't understand the level of violence some men proudly flaunt. It's not just that they have guns and weaponry and such or the fact that they proudly display it on their walls, it's what they want to do with it that bothers me. Some guys wouldn't mind being a vigilante or some other such very violent type person. My brother for example...man he thinks of some seriously F-ed up Stuff. I mean maybe I'm not really one to talk because when I get really pissed off at these terrible drivers that want to ride my bumper even though I'm already going 10 over in the SLOW lane an then go around me a flip me off... I wish horrific things upon them... ie- death in a fiery and somewhat explosive car accident...but at the same time these thoughts are merely out of anger. They don't surface all the time. So why is it that men are so overly violent? Has there been a study on such? Apparently so.
One article claims men are so violent because they're in competition with one another for the women of the species... this trait can also be found in animals. I think that's BS. I didn't read the whole article to the end so maybe something else was mentioned but seriously that can't be the only reason!
This article was very interesting and breaks down reasons men are violent and then either explains why it could be true or why it's complete bunk. It's interesting.
Most people seem to want to blame the XY chromosomes but from what I've read that has nothing to do with it.
So why are men so inherently violent? No one seems to know. SO I guess some men are just a lot better at repressing their violent tendencies than others.
