The Challenge

Saturday was quite the interesting day. I volunteered to help with the Special Olympics and then I spent the rest of the day with my sister. While at the Olympics my friend Britt invited me to attend a bake-off competition that evening. I asked her what exactly we would be eating and she explained what the deal was, so here it is:

Britt and Bradford got into a discussion about who could cook the better Lasagna. They decided to have a cook off and asked their friend Sean to be a judge. Apparently Sean decided that he wanted to give this cook-off thing a shot. So they were now in desperate need of judges since the one person they wanted to have as a judge decided he wanted to join in on the baking part so they decided to invite a few people over to do the tasting and vote on who made the best Lasagna.
I was pretty excited about this because I love Italian food and any time the food is free I'm in. So I got Brenna and we joined in the festivities. I decided to chronicle this competition in my blog because I thought it was such a fun idea. I think more people should have cook-offs... or maybe we'll try to have a cook-off every now and then. That would be fun. Anyway here are the entries into the contest:

My personal favorite was number two. I really liked it because it was moist and just cheesy enough while number three was too spicy and a little on the dry side. Number one was good but it just seemed way too cheesy. whoever made number one decided it would be interesting to put extra cheese on top. Anyhow we all voted and then Michelle tallied up the votes. Sadly number one got no votes and it ended up being a tie between numbers two and three. Well Sean was the creator of number one, Britt made number two, and Three was Bradford's creation. So it turns out that the dilemma of who makes the better Lasagna was not solved. Maybe we will be able to do this again and actually determine who is better, BUT for the purposes of this blog and my own opinion, I still think Britt's Lasagna is way better than any of the other two.

The rest of the evening was spent in conversation with some really fabulous people.
