Just Wait

I can't help but wonder why it is that when most women go shopping they head back to the sale rack but when it's a man they buy the newest product on the market. I understand that men are usually buying electronics or tools and such and those things update and go out of fashion faster than last season's Jimmy Choos but I don't understand why they don't wait for the price to go down.

If I catch a preview for a movie that looks awesome I'm more likely to wait until it hits the $1.50 theater than to head out opening night. There may be some way awesome shoes that I want more than anything ever but I'm gonna sit tight and wait until they hit the sale rack. I am by no means the thrifty person I sound like from those statements but I do find that if I buy things on Sale, or better yet Clearance!, I can get more for the $$ I'm spending. That seems like the most logical way to think, right? Apparently not.

I was in Gamestop with my brother looking for a game to play on my PSP (yeah yeah, I talk a lot of trash about video games but I do, on occasion, like to play. Shh don't tell anyone) and he told me he needed to make a deposit on a game. I gave him the most quizzical look I could and asked... HUH? Apparently they offer a payment program for games that haven't even come out yet. Wow. I asked him why he didn't just wait until it came out and then about six months later, okay MAYBE a year, it would go on sale.. WHY? Because he wants to play it while it's new. Um...yeah. So as I dug around in the used games to find something fun to play he made a $20 payment on a game that costs somewhere near $50 or $60 and I still don't get it.
When it comes to clothes, it seems some men would rather spend more money and get out of the store faster rather than take the time to walk around the clearance section and find a good deal. One of these days I hope that a man may be able to explain this complicated process and lack of sense to me so I might be able to understand.
