Invisible Web

Every morning I get up and step out my back door only to walk through spider webs. ICK! They're all over my back porch connecting the walls of my house to the rails of the deck. They're in the trees as I walk back to the dog pen and they cover the corner of the dog pen where I have to walk in...face first! BLEGH! I'm dying here. It wouldn't be so bad if I could actually see these things as I approach but they're practically invisible unless you're at the perfect angle at the right time of day where the sun is glinting off them at just the right second. I've started walking down the stairs with my arms out in front of me waiving them around like an idiot, if the neighbors are ever watching they probably think I have a mental problem, trying to get the webs with my fingers and arms rather than right in my face. Having a spider web on your arm is still not a pleasant feeling but heck it's way better than it getting all in your hair and eyes.

I don't know what to do or if there is even a remedy for this problem. I guess I could have the landlord send someone out to spray for spiders around the house, how long does that stuff even last?, or I could always do a home treatment thing they sell at Lowe's or Home Depot. I don't really wanna kill all the spiders (ok honestly I could care less if they live or die, they give me the heebie jeebies) but since I'm living in a house surrounded by trees do I have to live with them all over the place? Or is there something I can do?

According to a co-worker Lowe's sells an insect repellant that you can spray around your house and it will keep them at bay. Whew. I may have to give that stuff a whirl because let's face it, no one wants to walk through creepy spider webs every single day.
