Purging
Ah today was a day to cleanse. What did I rid myself of? One would think it would be wise for me to purge some of the shoes from my closet or perhaps some of the massive quantities of clothing I have accumulated over the years. But alas, today was a blog cleansing day.
I recently noticed that there was an abnormally large number of blogs I'd been "following" that hadn't been updated in about 6 months, more in some cases. My thought on that is, if you're not using it... lose it. Granted most people have more of a life than, oh say me, and really don't have a lot of time to sit down and update the world on all the things they do in a day or the crazy thoughts that pop into their heads, but as a general rule...if you're not going to update your blog every so often it's probably a good idea for you to just delete it and move on with your life. Personally, I like to update, at the very least, once a week but there are times when my brain just can't come up with a suitable topic to discuss on here and I may go two weeks without posting anything new. But I honestly think that if you've not found the time to post or had anything you felt was post worthy in over two months, just go ahead and erase your blog.
So, today I sat down and went through all the blogs that were on my watch list and hit the "stop following blog" button on the ones that haven't been updated in ages. I guess today was a good day for a little internet spring cleaning. Hrm...perhaps I should tackle my bathroom next.....
