Politics ... ICK
I don't like politics and I never will, I think all politicians are liars and that will never change. I don't usually discuss politics either because I know it causes all kinds of problems and ridiculous arguments. I have my opinion on who's better and you're not going to change it, I've always felt that way come election time when friends will try to tell me just why I shouldn't vote for who I plan to vote for. It drives me CRAZY.
The one politician that I really liked for the presidential election withdrew early and I was hoping he would get chosen as the VP but nope. I was seriously rooting for Romney. Now I guess I must choose the lesser of the two evils and vote for McCain. If I had my way they'd scrap all the current candidates and start all over again. I don't like McCain, I don't think I ever will be able to have any respect for a chameleon politician, he will probably change his party if he's elected, some of his platform points I just can't get behind. Then there's the other guy and well, I know I'll get all kinds of hell for saying anything about him so I wont. All I will say is I do NOT like him and get a bad feeling whenever I think of him becoming president. I just don't think he'd be good. Now that I've said that let the bombs drop on my head....
Okay.
I find it very interesting how in this mess of politics they try to one-up each other. Obama is a black man so if he won he'd be noted as the first minority president of the US. Well that's a lot to compete with for an old white dude so he goes and picks a woman to be his VP and so my chances of getting to see Romney up there are shot all to hell. Politics are so ridiculous.

I completely agree with your comments on politics. I have to keep my republican-ness on the down low at work, because everyone is a democrat in public schools.
I was really disappointed that Romney wasn't chosen.
It's a shame that politics are the way they are isn't it? I'm on board with almost everything you said and i don't think "making history" is the number one reason to choose your VP running mate.
