Givin The Dog A Bone

So I've been watching TV shows online. Anyway I've been watching Roswell on Sidereel.com and there's commercial breaks and the sponser most of the time is Pedegree dog food. Lately they've been doing a donation, every time you buy their dog food they send a portion of the proceeds to shelters to help keep dogs alive until they find permanant homes for them.
One of the commercials says this dog Baily's family got a new apartment but that they don't allow dogs. (click link to see commercial on Youtube) I keep seeing this commercial over and over and it has made me wonder something. Why in the world would you get a dog and then when you move, move somewhere that they don't allow pets?? It makes absolutely no sense to me. As a person that is looking to move and has three dogs that need to come with me, I would NEVER even consider renting a place that I couldn't keep them with me. It makes no sense at all.

I know people think I'm crazy or rediculous for having so many dogs. The thing is whenever I go to a shelter or rescue I can't help but be saddened by the number of dogs that are left by the side of the road, or in a car somewhere, or dropped off at the pound or just left laying around like garbage. It's like I see them and I want to save them all. I hate when I hear about dog fighting or breeding that goes out of control. It breaks my heart to hear on the news about people that are backyard breeders and they have like hundreds of puppies that are malnourished and mistreated. I wanted to cry when I saw a video this girl posted online, her neighbors tied their dog up on the poorch, he had no room to even lay his poor little head down and he was pooping on the poorch and had to lay in it. There's other videos that I've seen of abused dogs tied up to tight they can't lay down and they ca
n't get to their food bowls. Then people rescue them and risk being arrested or call the authorities to come and rescue the dogs but where do they end up? A pound or shelter where there are hundreds of other dogs and not nearly enough people to care about them. I also can't stand it when people buy dogs from a breeder. There are so many dogs already why are you going to spend hundreds even thousands of dollars on a pet when you can spend maybe $60-$100 on a shelter dog and save it.

My sister got her dog, Dappy, from Petfinder.com. She cost $150.00, and was already spayed with all of her shots. She's the best little dog and is great with her two kids. I'd recommend that, as well.
