Valentines Day

So I usually absolutely hate this day of the year. In high school my boyfriend bought me and another girl the same flowers for V-day. In college I had some great V-days I got a fabulous card from my boyfriend that he had sprayed his cologne on and it smelled so great. Then I spent another Valentines day at a date auction so I could outbid the other ladies for my guy. That was my last good one. The rest were spent wondering which girls bed the guy I was with was in that night. Then once I moved on from there I spent Valentines day's alone. Valentines day has always carried those relationship connotations, to have a great Valentines day you have to be with someone who buys you chocolates, sends you a card, plans a fabulous dinner for two, spends time alone letting you know how much they love you.

Not this year. I'm not going to be sad or upset that I don't have a boyfriend I'm going to spend time with my fabulous friends! We're going to have an indoor picnic and play games and watch "scary" movies. I am so excited. We're going to celebrate our singleness with tons of fun. I'm just so pleased to have gained so many fantastic friends in the last couple of months. I really feel like the old me is coming back... the GOOD old me not the sad depressed old me. I met Stephanie at New Years and we just really hit it off and we're going to be rooming together soon and I'm just so ready to move, I have a good feeling about this! Okay, well I'll have to update you all on how this goes tomorrow.
