Not Much To Say
Don't have a lot to talk about today.
Work was crap yesterday, but that's normal. I finished my application for the job with Wildlife Resources (cross your fingers that I get it!). I found out that I don't get my own personal space at work... yeah you read that right. Everyone else gets their own cubicle or office where other people are not allowed to come in and go through the things laying on their desk. Not me. Because I run the mailroom my desk is fair game. Makes NO fucking sense whatsoever but apparently management thinks it's acceptable for someone to come over to my desk when I'm not here and go through whatever's on it to determine if it's something of theirs. Bullshit I tell you! There is no reason for it! If they want to know if there's a bid on my desk that they haven't gotten yet then they need to go to my supervisor who in turn has every right to go through the crap on my desk because she's my backup when I'm gone. The fact of the matter is not only do I not get my own personal space at work, the idiots I work with don't know what they're doing and so they'll screw something up.
This came about because I left early monday to take Bella to the vet and the mail was delivered after I left so Miles (the co-worker I hate the most) came over and went through the stuff on my desk to see if he had any bids. Then he proceeded to take bids to two other agents without date and time stamping them... This is a big no no. When you have a 2:00 by the day of such and such dead line the envelopes have GOT to be stamped, otherwise they'll have a whole shitload of problems on their hands (lawsuits for one). So I found out yesterday that he'd been going through things on my desk (this is not his first offense) and so I told my supervisor who then went to HIS supervisor and said something about it and his super told mine that it's okay for anyone to go through things on my desk so long as it's business related. Right. I am SOOOOOO ready to find a new job now. Not as though I wasn't already but that desire just got bigger. NCDOT sucks! And it's full of freaking MORONS!
We've decided what we're doing for my birthday since I can't go skydiving now. We're going to make everyone get all dressed up fancy (we're talking prom dresses and suits here) and go out to the Cheesecake Factory, I've never been, and then depending on the weather we'll either go play mini-golf or go bowling! Doesn't that sound like a blast? I know, nowhere near as exciting as skydiving but you do what you can. :-) I'm very excited and I hope everyone can come and that we all have a fabulous time. Well folks, that's about all I've got in my head at this early hour of the AM. Best get to working now.
