Slow Dancing In The Rain

Something I have longed to do since I've been old enough to know that I want boy cooties, is slow dance in the rain. One of my most favorite pieces of artwork is called "The Singing Butler" by Artist Jack Vettriano. I gained my love of this painting from my baby sister because I had never seen it before she told me it was her favorite and just looking at it I felt such a great love for it that it became one of my favorites as well. This image evokes all kinds of girly *sigh* emotions from deep within me. How romantic it would be to slow dance on the beach in the rain or even after a rain, when the air still smells like it and the earth is soft and damp from it and everything looks clean and new.

Another image that has brought strong romantic emotions along with it is this one of a couple kissing in the rain between their two cars. Why is it that people find rain so romantic? It's cold and wet and it soaks through your clothes leaving you damp and uncomfortable. All I can say is why I feel the way I do about it...because while it rains all the time it's rare that people spend any time together in it and I think it's because everyone else is snuggled up indoors and it's almost as though you have the whole world to yourself. It's like taking a walk at night when the snowflakes begin to fall in the winter...not too many people are out they wait until it's all on the ground to play in it, you seem to have an entire world all to yourselves. It's beautiful to say the least.
