Snow and Ice and Everything Nice

As many of you may already be aware, it snowed yesterday. I usually hate the snow. But secretly, my inner child comes out whenever it's the first big snow of the year. Rae made fun of me saying "you are so five years old right now". I got all excited about going out into the snow in my own yard, of my very own house, with my roomie and playing... Needless to say it was a blast!
We threw snow at each other, Rae didn't come out to play because he didn't have the proper snow wear...but he did grab snow and shove it down the neck of my hoodie. It was very cold. Jordan and I went and played around our yard, made snow angels, attempted to make hood ornament snowmen on our cars (stupid powdery snow) and threw a few handfulls of snow at one another. We decided to take our very first walk through our neighborhood and took off up the street. We live in a tiny two road neighborhood, the second road is a short culdisac, and once we reached the end of the street we saw a trail through some woods so we took it. We walked through an open trail through some woods and out into another neighborhood. We walked all the way to the end of that street and then decided to walk to Lousiburg Rd and over the bridge to the Neuse River. It was so cold and every time we started walking we were walking against the snow so I swear my face froze a million times over.
We also took our camera's with us. Well, I took mine around the house and then let Rae put it back in the house while Jordan and I played because I didn't want it to get too wet. Jordan took pictures around the neighborhood and down by the Neuse. Overall, I'm really glad I had the day off of work because I actually got to spend a good deal of time with my roomie, since I haven't been doing so lately, what with spending all my time at work and with Rae.

I love the snow too! Especially in NC because everything shuts down and I don't have to go to work.
