T V Part 5
I'm on a roll...why stop now?
Today on my way to work I was reminded of yet another reason why people should be given a harder driving test...that or they need to station a few cops close by. It seems that no matter which direction I come from to get to work in the AM I always have the pleasure of driving by a school. At first it was this private Catholic school with lots of little kids and their parents would stop the cars along the side of the road blocking all traffic so that they could get out and walk their kid into the school yard where the teachers were waiting. Very inefficient if you ask me.
So I started taking a new route, less traffic lights and it seems to be a bit quicker. However, I now drive by Broughton High School. The traffic is just as bad because all the cars are turning in one direction trying to get to the school and it creates a bit of a clog most times. So to avoid this clog I have noticed several parents think it's okay to stop in the middle of the road, where all the non-school traffic is trying to get to work, and pull over to the curb to let their kid out.
Someone please tell me how this is okay?
When did Peace Street become a carpool lane? It's not! Isn't it illegal for these people to be doing this? GAH! If you can't get your kid to school early enough to drive through the actual carpool lane like you're supposed to please don't stop and block traffic further whilst you're being a moron...pull onto a side road, pull over and THEN let your kids out. There are several side streets that lead into neighborhoods that appear to be desolate this time of day, so why the heck can't they use some common sense and pull down there? It's really makes me so mad that I'm tempted every morning to drive by roll my window down (if only it weren't a hand crank!) and yell at them "HEY! You moron this isn't a carpool lane!!!" Ahh but sadly all this would do was create a larger mess.
Stupid people. It's a shame they're breeding.
