My Favorite Time of Year!

Fall, Autumn, whatever you want to call it, it's my favorite time of year. The air gets a crisp chill, the leaves change color, and you have some of the best holidays ever: Halloween and Thanksgiving! The kitchen starts to develop a spicy smell and candy goes on sale in bulk :-)
My favorite of all these things is that beautiful color change that the leaves go through, it's like even though the leaves are "dying" they do it with style and panache.

There are two big reasons that fall has become my favorite season, aside from my love of dead leaves and that crisp smell in the air, the first is the State Fair and the second is my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving.

Just about every year since I was 5 my parents have taken us to the fair. Some years I missed it and those years I choose to block from my memory. The North Carolina State Fair is one of the best events of the year! Since I've been an adult I buy my tickets early to avoid having to wait in line at the entrance AND because they're cheaper, I highly recommend this to anyone planning on attending the fair, but hurry you only have until Thursday evening of this week before they stop pre-selling them. Last year I went with Sara, Anna, and Tom and had a blast! The year before I went with Sara, Anna and Candi, and it was a blast too! This year, however, I'm going with a bunch of married people so I'm a little iffy about how fun it will be. Don't get me wrong, I love everyone that's going, well I don't know Sara and Anna's parents that well but I'm sure they're wonderful, it's just that I don't really want to be the only single person in the group. So I'm gonna suck it up and go anyway and it's going to be fun. My favorite parts of the fair are the following: the Ferris Wheel, the Food, the Animals, the farm animal frenzy, all the free stuff, and the Village of Yesteryear. This year there are two commercials for the fair, check 'em out:







There will be loads of pictures taken, tons of food eaten, and so much fun had that it'll be too much for one blog...I'll try to keep all the excitement to a few pics and the highlights of the fun. I'm really excited for this Saturday. See you all at the State Fair!
