LIVID! LIVID! LIVID!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to vent. I'm going to try and do this without getting too out of control.
I was called to be the Activities Chair for the Singles Ward that I am in and it was tossed at me the day they asked me to do this, that I would have to plan an 8 Stake Regional Conference. I was thrilled. I had a sit down with the member of the Bishopric over the different Committees and we talked about how we could have a very different and memorable conference. After that I got very in to planning it. I mean I've done all my research and plotted the kind of people we could have come and speak and what to ask them to speak on, I figured out where we could have it (outdoors for the weekend at a campground that has a mess hall and cabins), how to co-ordinate everything so that it goes off without a hitch, etc. Then I find out that someone.... I wont say who because I don't want to offend.... would rather us do something to the effect of a regional dance and game night with the possibility of a service project the next day.
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ABOUT??!!!???!!!
I've already invested a lot of time and energy and really great ideas in this plan so that it would be AWESOME and way memorable and now I'm being told that oh well the dates don't work and these dates would be better and OH by the way we don't really want to do another conference. SCREW THAT MAN! People like conferences, when they are well planned and put together. This wasn't going to be just another conference. If one of the other Stakes wants to do something different for their turn fine let them... but DON'T make a decision for ME and go tell the Regional President that we'll do what YOU decided and have a lame ass dance and game night. NEWS FLASH- NO ONE WILL BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!Hell I don't even want to be there and I now have to plan the stupid thing!

Maybe when I'm less pissed off about this I will come back and write something more intelligent. Maybe.

Omigosh. I have no idea who decided that, but have they BEEN to the dances??
And why did they put you as the head of the committee if they aren't even using what you suggest?? That's crap.
