So totally bogus. I keep getting emails and facebook updates etc about saving shows or petitioning this or that through an online petition. I've always known this was a bogus deal because an online signature means nothing. It's too easy to fake someones name online and so these types of petitions don't hold up in a court of law or anywhere else. People think they're saving time by doing in online but really they're not. So the next time someone send you a link to an online petition for something you think is a worthy cause perhaps you should inform them of just how much time they're wasting by doing it online. It's better to do it right the first time and write a letter yourself or if you're going to use the petition method stand there in person with a clip board and ask people to sign it. Way more effective and despite the common misconception... efficient.
