Here's How Much We Care

See that empty space? I would have put a . there but I don't think they even care that much. When my supervisor informed the Director that she had accepted a job with another department they waited a day before sending out the email saying she was leaving and expressing how much she would be missed and how much we appreciated having her here. For me, they've known since last Friday...today is Thursday and no email has been sent to even inform my co-workers I'm leaving. Now, initially I was all kinds of whatever they don't need to know I'm leaving but apparently the news seems to have spread like wildfire and they all know and they all keep asking me why management hasn't taken the time to say anything about me. Good question. I guess I'm not as valuable an employee, after being here for nearly five years and assisting them with a job no one else wanted to do without complaint or pay, as a woman that started a year ago and has pissed off everyone else here. It's nice to see how important you really are to the people you've bent over backwards to help. At least I know that the people who really do care will really miss me, the people who I would care if they had left and who I really truly wanted to know I was leaving, those people are awesome and have said Thank GOD you're finally outta here! Because they know how hard I've been trying to move on from this sad position.

So thank you to Carrie, Jeff, Chris A., Chris T., Vickie, and Thomas for actually giving a damn that I'm leaving and realizing what an asset I've been in this little corner of hell. :-) You guys have all made it bearable to be stuck here.
