Devistating Hilarity

For my class I'm supposed to go through and find Wedding Coordinator's blogs and read through them. On one blog I found a series of posts about why you should hire professionals to do certain parts of your wedding. My favorite was where they talked about cakes... and then they introduced me to this blog and I fell in love

It's kinda like that website where people send in all the pictures of the crappy people they see at Walmart..only with cakes. All the crappy cakes people find at weddings, birthdays, Bar Mitvahs, etc. Just thought I'd share, enjoy a good laugh today and see some of the crappy cake awesomeness! There are also some very extraordinary cakes shown in a few posts, like there's this one post about peacock cakes...if I ever wanted a peacock themed wedding I'd probably go with this cake... no lie!

Isn't that beautiful?!?! Yeah but I'm not really into peacocks. I really couldn't get over some of the other cakes they were insanely disturbing... like the cakes someone photographed in Germany that were of people's lower extremeties, luckily the blogger in charge put a rather large smiley face over the top of the man version. So disturbed by that.

My fave though is the Star Trek cake with Star Wars figurines on it. Whoever made that one probably never saw either show/movie. They are missing out! My advice to Mr. Cake baker? Go rent the Star Wars Trilogy (skip the first three they weren't even worth the wait) and then get on Sci-Fy channel and check out the original Star Trek, nothing alike I tell you!

Okay so go on over there to Cake Wrecks and laugh a little. Then smile when you see the very pretty fabulously designed cakes mixed in and then cry some as you see cakes that your 5 year old nephew could have done a better job decorating :-)
