Ending Week 2
I did great for my first week of pounding out two workouts a day, I'm pretty impressed with myself. My second weekend was a bit tougher because my family came to visit and as much as I tried to keep from eating things I shouldn't, I did slip a few things in there. I gained back 2 of 4lbs that way and missed 2 workouts. That really sucked but it got worse when this past week I had to have my car fixed. Well, the missing workouts part got worse. I packed my workout clothes and 2 DVD's for 2 workouts and planned to be home after only 1 night away so it wasn't going to be a big deal. But then things with the car ended up taking longer than expected, we spent most of Thursday running around buying tools that Nate didn't have and then Friday we discovered that my brake on the driver's side was messed up really bad and had to buy a new part which had to be shipped and wouldn't be there till the next morning. But we DID get the original parts all fixed by the time the sun went down on Friday night and went out to eat at this new Japanese Steakhouse in town. I did pretty good as far as food goes but I ordered a Dr. Pepper to drink, even though I know I shouldn't, BUT I did keep it to only 2 glasses, which is a miracle for me!
I only missed 1 workout Friday night and 2 all day Saturday. I haven't checked on weight gained or lost but I'm pretty sure I'm still hanging around in the 170's. On the plus side though, I did spend a lot of time helping fix my car so even if that doesn't count as a high impact workout that burns tons of calories, I can count it as SOME kind of workout. Starting today I'm getting back on track, I'm a little worried about Christmas though, I find it hard to be as motivated when I'm at someone else's house. I will just have to keep my motivation though my time with my family and do it anyway. The sad truth is, I may just end up cutting back to 1 workout a day during that time. I keep telling myself that's okay though because circumstances are a bit different and I can't carry everything I need home with me for certain workouts so I should be okay as long as I pick the workouts with the highest impact as my workouts to take home with me.
Out of the last 2 weeks I'd have to say I'm pretty proud of my progress. I've managed to have a soda only 2 different times (1 was when my parents visited) and I've stuck to eating a pretty healthy diet every day AND I've been working out fairly regular compared to other times in the past. So far, I'd say it's going pretty well.
