Christmas, Goals, and a Fresh Start
Christmas with the family was fabulous. The only thing I didn't like was not spending it with Nate. I think the more time I spend with him the more time I want to spend with him. I did talk to him nearly every day that I was gone, it seems silly because I was only two hours away visiting my family for a mere 4 days but it felt like forever without getting to see his smiling (or surly depending on the day) face.
I did NOT achieve my weight loss goal and lose 5lbs by Christmas. I did make it to 4lbs but it fluxed up and down too much and my exercise after week 2 was sporadic at best. I still have my workout calendar on the wall and am making it a goal each day to workout...if I get lazy I need only look at myself in the mirror to be reminded of the necessity behind keeping these goals.
With January and 2012 looming it's time to dust off the 'ol resolutions and start anew. In the past I have been averse to making "resolutions" because it just gives me something to fail at greatly each year. I think this year I will actually make some resolute goals...does that make sense? LOL. 1-Don't settle...this is the year to make some big things happen. 2-Go to church EVERY Sunday that I'm not working during Sacrament (at least attend that ONE meeting). 3-Get HEALTHY! Be physically fit and more mindful of the food that passes these lips. 4- Be nicer to people...especially family. 5- GET with that financial program Emily set up for me...it is essential to open that separate savings account I've been talking about for months now. 6- Make at least 1 new friend. Oh hell set that standard a bit higher...make at least 3 new friends (I have a whole year to do this, I should be able to manage that! LOL).
And so we let out the old to make room for the new, just one more week in 2011 before 2012 takes it's place. I have every inkling that it's going to be an even better year than this one. Stay tuned dear readers for the recap of what went down in 2011, an intriguing year to say the least. :-)
