7 Days Later

WOW!

I've worked out twice a day for the last 7 days. 7 WHOLE DAYS! Okay, I should amend that to 6 because technically I only worked out 1 time this morning and came home and cleaned my apartment up before my visitors come tomorrow. I guess I could count my cleaning experience as a workout though, I felt some serious burn while trying to scrub the hairspray off my bathroom floor tiles.

Here is what I have learned.

I am perfectly capable of working out 2 times in 1 day. The two workout programs I have chosen, supplemented with yoga, over the period of 1 week, have helped me to lose 3lbs. WOOHOO! I shared with my boss at work, who happens to be a workout fanatic now that he's realized how hard it is for him to climb out of the Intracoastal after losing a bet, the amount of weight I had lost an what amount of time it took. He replied that it was too much weight in such a short period of time and wasn't at all healthy. WHOA?! Seriously dude? I'm gonna guess that 2 of the 3lbs, lost over 4 days I might add, was probably water weight and a result of my lack of soda consumption. (ps- I feel way less bloated and gassy now that I've not had a soda in so long...not that I feel THAT gassy on the reg, I'm just sayin) Okay so diet changes, LESS sugar- I decided to treat myself every once in a while so that my body doesn't feel deprived and I don't go on a sugar binge because I start craving it on the reg, Eat 3 meals high in protein as much as possible and try to have healthy snacks in between, the exercise, and water water and MORE WATER!

I WAS feeling pretty good up until last night and this morning. They've been renovating parts of the building at the restaurant and there has been dust EVERYWHERE. When I have the opening shift, which happens way too often, I have to clean all the dust off of everything and I think it has gotten in my nose and eyes and now I have puffy eyes, a sore throat and a stuffy nose and my head is bordering on that achy feeling. But, regardless of the muscle soreness I'm having from the workouts, I take the stairs everywhere I go and I still feel burn with every step I take and every tense of every muscle. I guess that means it's working LOL. Step 1- indulge in intensive workout and a healthier diet. Step 2- stick with it.

On to step 2.
