An Update

Today is an update kinda day...

I've become rather slack lately in the upkeep of my blog, shame on me! I just haven't felt that anything I've seen or done has been horribly blog worthy. There are a few things I'll share though.

My baby sister is pregnant! YAY! She wont let me share this information on facebook so I'm broadcasting it everywhere else LOL. Her and Kyle came to visit this past week and it's been really great spending time with her. They're in the process of moving from Germany to California for his Language training classes he wants to take.

As a result of the sibling visit, my parents decided to take us all to the beach. It was pretty fun with the exception of all the pre-mommy complaining, poor BB. My dad rented one of those very large vans and we piled my brother, his wife and two kids, my parents, Brenna and Kyle and me all into the van and drove down to the Crystal Coast. We went to the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium and walked around and then we drove down to Fort Macon and hand lunch in the van and headed out to the beach. Overall it was a pretty great day spent with my pretty great family. I took off work Friday to pick them up from the airport and Monday to spend most of the day hanging out with them. We drove around and took care of some of their errands, Brenna got a new haircut, FINALLY!, poor girl was getting a mullet, and we had lunch at Tropical Smoothie because Brenna and I love that place.

Other new events, My supervisor retired.. WOOOOOOOOOOO! Freaking Finally! That woman was driving me crazy the entire last week she was here she kept saying this is how you do this and rearranging file folders and stuff because she wants everything to be in order for the next person...except it'll be a looooong while before we can even post the job so chances are the people in charge in the mean time will change things around quite a bit.

And finally, this weekend is the 4th of July, as you all may know. Jordan and I were planning to go camping at the beach but we both realized it's just not in our budget. Instead, we're going to a cookout tonight, spending all day at the lake tomorrow, and no idea for the actual 4th. Regardless I can tell it's going to be a fabulous weekend and I can't wait for this hideous workday to be overwith so I can start my weekend again!
