Moving Things
I hate cleaning house and moving things around so after I moved in and took about two months to slowly unpack MOST of my stuff, I just left the rest in the spare room in boxes. On occasion I might need something that is possibly in one of those boxes and I start my search...digging through boxes and shifting things around until I find what I'm looking for. Sadly, I'm perfectly happy to continue on in this manner, but things are about to change.
I have a friend from Garner originally that is currently living on Wilmington Island in Georgia and unhappy with the way thing are going there. One day she messaged me on Myspace and wondered why she didn't have my phone number and said she wanted to know if I still had an extra room at my place. So I gave her my number and she called. She went over how unhappy life was making her right then and said she wanted to move in with me. I discussed it with my roomie and the landlord and as long as she doesn't bring any more pets to the house (she has a cat but will be leaving it with her mother) she is more than welcome. SO, things are about to change.
I am about to drop my rent $150 and my total utilities will go from somewhere close to $200 a month to $70 and I will also start sharing a bathroom and the upstairs is no longer my haven. As you can see there are up sides and down sides to this new situation. For the last 9 months it's been awesome just having one roommate in such a large house and the upstairs is my space and downstairs is her space and we share the living room and kitchen and I can talk on the phone late at night upstairs with my door shut or watch tv late at night or early in the morning and none of this bothers her because she can't hear it downstairs. I've also become quite accustomed to having that room full of boxes I can scavange whenever I like and oh yes, my own bathroom. All that is about to change. I will now have to share a bathroom, I should probably unpack those boxes and put the items somewhere or get rid of them, and I will probably annoy the crap out of someone else if I stay up late making lots of noise in my room.
All the same, I'm still really excited to have her move in and that the rent will be dropping enough that Jordan and I can save some extra $$$ for other things we might want to do.
