What a doozy!
I apologize profusely for my recent absence! I'd love to say it wont happen again but it's almost guaranteed to occur regularly now. I have taken on so much in my life that I don't have time to think a spare thought these days...and I love it!
A quick update and then I will come back and more formally discuss a few things later.
My Mary Kay business is moving along slowly. I am struggling with getting people to attend events and get facials and schedule parties. That's kind of the meat and potatoes of this biz and I wont last long without it. My friend base here in Wilmington consists of college age students who can't afford Mary Kay and are way too busy to help a sista out and then there's the older set who are great but aren't really interested in participating. So I just keep plugging away. Luckily there are no boundaries in Mary Kay and I can get clients / recruit all over the place. I have a larger friend base in the Raleigh area and they seem to be where I'm going to have to reach out to the most if I want to achieve success.
I went to Puerto Rico with my other company where I do recruiting. IT. WAS. AMAZING! I am so ready to go back. I made some new friends and even came home with a guys phone number and we manage to keep up the occasional quipy conversation here and there via text and the randomly placed phone call. He's very sweet but sadly lives about 9 hours away. Ah well, friends it is then.
The photography is slowing down by a lot these days. I haven't been contacted for an event in over a month and this makes me sad. I can't help but wonder if it's because my photos are sub-standard or if it's just that they like the other gal better, OR if it's because I was out of the country when she had a bunch of events going on and now she feels like she can't ask me. Whatever it is I hope this drought ends soon I miss my event friends.
I don't know if I told you about my amazing friend Kristi but I finally have a friend here in Wilmington to do things with! I will probably begin blogging about our food adventures soon. I am still undecided if it will be on here or if I should post those onto my blog where I post recipes and such...it's debatable. Anyway, we've been hanging out a lot and she's also in Mary Kay, which is how I ended up in that pink bubble. It's really nice to have someone to hang out with though, I've really missed it. And because of all these wonderful things that are keeping my brain so busy I don't really have much time for thinking and that is the best. Because when I stop to think I start to miss. And I'm tired of missing.
Oh and one more item just got added to my very full plate. I finally received my acceptance (after four LONG months of waiting) to the Savannah College of Art and Design. I will be attending their online eLearning program and my major will be Photography...if I can find the money to pay for the next two years there. Pray that I do because I could really use the degree and the photography experience I will develop there. I probably wont start until the spring quarter in March instead of the Winter quarter in January like I had hoped, but either way, I'm accepted and that's the first step!
I promise more to come as soon as I have time to breathe!

It is ALWAYS good to be busy. Life is so much nicer that way, don't you think??
