Names
Most of you know that I don't want kids... it just happened one day probably somewhere between friends and family with crying babies that cried even more when I came nearby and kids ripping clothes off the walls at the mall. On occasion though I see things and think, if I had a kid...
Today I had one of those days.
If I were to ever have a little girl I would like to name her Lorelei. Do you want to know why? Well today I found out that the name Lorelei is German for feminine water spirit aka Mermaids. HAHA! Too funny right? So instead of naming my kid after me I would name her with a name that means mermaid and since I get tortured every day with "Oh Ariel, like the mermaid?" my kid would actually be named after a mermaid. HeHe, That's too cool.

I really love the name Lorelei. And not just b/c it's from Gilmore Girls and I have an unnatural attachment to the show. I would name my daughter Lorelei except everyone I know will always harass me about my obsession. But if you never end up having a girl and you give me permission, I'll just say it's in homage to my Ariel, who always wanted a girl named Lorelei. Then I won't be as crazy, right?!

HAHA! You totally have permission to use me as an excuse to name one of your daughters Lorelei, also the one from Gilmore Girls is actually spelled Lorelai so you could use that as a defense as well :-) Hehe. Plus, it's a really pretty name so even if you get teased for naming your kid after your favorite show just tell them it could be worse your favorite show could have been Days of Our Lives and your kid could have ended up with a soap opera name ;-) LOL
