See Y'all Next Year
I hope everyone had a fantabulous Christmas...I know I did!
The best present I got this year was that my amazing man came to visit me on Christmas Eve, this was such a great gift considering I wasn't going to see him for THREE weeks after our last visit. It made me feel so happy. And then that evening when Jordan got off work we all three opened our presents from each other and did stockings (I made one for Nate at the last minute since he surprised me). It was so much fun.
Then Christmas Day was spent at my brothers house watching the girls open their gifts and then we adults went last. I think next year it might be a little more enjoyable... maybe. Aaliyah is still too young to understand the value of the gifts she gets. My favorite phrase from Christmas... Aaliyah: "no more presents, there's too many!" We then had Breakfast and I went and took a three hour nap at my parents house before we had dinner. I've gotta be careful with that though, my holiday sleep schedule will wreak havoc on my work sleep schedule.
Next up is New Years! Nate is coming up tonight and we're going to spend 5 whole days together! This makes me happier than anything else. We will be driving to Wilmington on Thursday to attend the Island of Lights Festival at Carolina Beach. My parents, my brother & his wife and kids are all coming after they get off work and Nates parents and my parents are going to spend New Years baby sitting the kiddos...surprisingly they're happy about that. This year I will have my very first New Years kiss! YAY! I find it slightly sad that I've managed to go 26 years of my life without that first...but I'm glad I get to share it with Nathan because hopefully he'll be the last person I kiss on New Years (wink wink). Anyway, then we'll be heading back up here on Friday afternoon and spending the rest of the weekend at my house doing whatever we can think of. It's going to be the best week of the year! :-)
So, Happy New Year to you all, enjoy whatever festivities you partake in, and please be safe! See you all next year!
