Christmas Nightmare
I keep having this reoccuring nightmare...I don't have enough money to buy everyone the gifts that I want to buy them this year. The trouble is, it's not really a nightmare it's reality. BLAH! I hate not having enough money to buy gifts. I also hate when people put a spending limit on themselves.
I've never really had a boyfriend at Christmas time to spend money on...there was Scott but he doesn't really count. And this year I do :-) YAY! But he's put a limit on how much I'm allowed to spend on him. We went "shopping" Saturday so he could show me stuff he likes and try some things on and he found a pair of running shoes that he absolutely loves. These shoes are $95. But I'm not allowed to buy them for him because they're way out of range of the amount I'm supposed to be spending on him. We tested some cologne out and found one he loves and that I actually think smells great but the small bottle is $52 not quite out of range but then I can only get him the one thing. I really don't like this :-( I want to be able to spend however much I like on him. I understand why people do a limit because they don't want to feel bad that the other person spent more on them than they could spend, but it still sucks. I guess overall it's a good thing though, because if he hadn't put a limit on my spending I'd spend way more than I needed to and have no money for anyone elses gifts.
Speaking of other gifts, I still have to buy my sister Amber something and I've got no clue what to get her, so that's frustrating me. Then there's my brother and his wife. I know Kelly likes to buy clothes and shoes so I guess I'm gonna get her a gift card to somewhere. And I think there's a list of books that my brother wants. But I still have no clue what I'm going to do for my sister. I was hoping to find something cool to send her at one of the craft fairs I went to, but nobody really had anything she'd like. And so the search continues...and my available balance keeps shrinking. Oh well, maybe I'll find something in Wilmington this weekend that I can buy her.
One thing I love about Christmas and Birthdays is that it's an excuese for me to buy people stuff and they can't refuse it. I enjoy getting gifts for my friends but there's a few of them that don't like it when I buy them stuff at random. So it makes me happy that I have at least two times of the year when I can buy people stuff and they have to accept it. This year for my co-workers and a few other friends, I'll be making them crocks of Stinky cheese! YAY! I love stinky cheese...my mom only ever makes it at Christmas time because of all the Garlic it's really not something you want to eat in the summer. So we always make it at Christmas and it lasts for a few months during the winter time. This year I'm going to make at least two batches of it, one to hand out and one to keep for me! Watch out folks, I'm gonna have some garlic breath for a while this year! HEHE. I'll have to be sure and photograph and post the process of making it!

I want to learn how to make stinky cheese. I totally understand the whole gift thing and sticking to a budget. This yr we bought something for 15 and I made something. That way it looks like we spent money on them even though I'm just taking stuff out of my stash of crafts to complete. I'll trade you....I'll teach you how to make something inexpensive and cute if you teach how to make stinky cheese haha I love garlic
